Panasonic X70 - Sync Set Up

The Panasonic X70 comes with SyncML pre-installed and ready to go. To set up your Panasonic X70 to "sync" with your Mobyko Phone Book, just follow these steps:

• 1. First, it is necessary to note down your preferred "Gateway IP" address for use in Step 14 below.
• 2. To do this, go to "Main Menu", "Browser" then "Server List".
• 3. From the Server List screen, select your current WAP GPRS profile and press "Menu" then "Edit".
• 4. Scroll to "Gateway IP" and press "Edit".
• 5. Note the number then return to the "Main Menu".
• 6. From the main icon menu, select "Organiser".
• 7. From the Organiser screen, select "Synchronisation".
• 8. From the Synchronisation screen, highlight "Sync Contacts" then select "Edit".
• 9. Select a profile, click "Menu" then select "Edit".
• 10. Enter the following settings:

Profile name: Mobyko

Server name: http://sync.cppdatabackup.co.uk/

Server Database: ./contact

Server User Id: ----

Server Password: ----

• 11. Press the "back" button twice to return to the Synchronisation screen.
• 12. Select Server List.
• 13. From the Server List screen, select a profile, click "Menu" then select "Edit".
• 14. Enter the following Server Settings:

Profile Name: WAP

Gateway IP: [see steps 1-5 above]

Bearer Type: GPRS

• 15. You're done.

Panasonic X70 - Syncing

Once you've set up your Panasonic X70 as described above, to perform an actual "sync", just follow these steps:

• 1. From the main menu, select "Organiser".
• 2. From the Organiser screen, select "Synchronisation".
• 3. From the Synchronisation screen, select "Sync Contacts".
• 4. Confirm that you wish to "Synchronise selected data? Mobyko" and click the OK button
• 5. That's it. Your Handset will now sync its internal phone book with your Mobyko Phone Book.
