Do you need to know my phone number, model, network and email address ?

Don't worry, your details are secure with CPP Data Backup and they won't be passed on to anyone without your permission, but we need to know a few things from you for CPP Data Backup to work.

We need:

  • your mobile phone number so we can send you a PIN.
  • your mobile phone model so we can send you the right settings to get you syncing without hassle.
  • your email address so we can help you if you forget your password, and to remind you to sync if you ask us to.
  • your phone network and how you pay for your calls because sometimes these will affect which settings we send you.
Why do I need to create an account to backup/sync my phone?

To backup your contacts, your phone needs unique settings to identify you and your phone. Your phone number, account identification number and sync password are unique to you and are necessary for the synchronisation to take place.

You will also need an account to be able to login to CPP Data Backup and view/edit your backed up contacts.
